
On July 9, 2024, the 12th Operations and Supply Chain Workshop of ECUST was successfully held at School of Business. Prof. FAN Tijun, Dean of the School of Business, and other faculty members from the Department of Management Science and Engineering and the Operations and Supply Chain Research Center, doctoral and graduate students from the School participated in the workshop. The workshop invited Prof. J. George Shanthikumar and Prof. Feng Qi from Purdue University, Prof. Hu Qiaoxian from Colorado School of Mines, Prof. Guo Xiaohui from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. Zhou Wei from European Higher School of Business, Prof. Shiduo Shenzhen from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Prof. Tan Yinliang from CEIBS, and Mr. Tan Xiao and Mr. Li Yuxuan from the School of Business, East China University of Science and Technology, to give a wonderful presentation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Fan Tijun introduced the development of Management Science and Engineering of the School and welcomed the guests to the seminar. After that, Prof. J. George Shanthikumar of Purdue University, Prof. Qiaohai Hu of Colorado School of Mines, Prof. Qi Feng of Purdue University and Prof. Xiaohui Guo of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University reported their research papers in the first half of the seminar.
In the second half of the seminar, Dr. Tan Xiao from our Business School, Prof. Zhou Wei from EHEC, Dr. Shi Duo from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Li Yuxuan from the School and Prof. Tan Yinliang from CEIBS presented their recent research progress.
After each report, presenters will ask questions and share their own insights on thesis model construction, empirical design and research connotation, which promotes mutual exchanges and learning among faculty members in different research fields, and also helps postgraduate students to better conduct academic research. Finally, in a relaxed and active atmosphere, the seminar was successfully concluded.
