Students Performed Well in the 14th “Innovation and Entrepreneurship" Competition

Recently, the Final of the 14th “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” National Management Decision Simulation Competition was held online. The competition was sponsored by the Working Group of Economics and Management Specialties of Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Innovation Alliance and organized by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, using the PREMKING enterprise management simulation system as the competition platform.

The competition is divided into several stages, including campus preliminary, provincial competition, regional competition, regional revival, national semi-finals and national finals, and has received positive responses from more than 700 colleges and universities nationwide, with a total of more than 35,000 student teams enrolled. Finally, 128 student teams from more than 100 universities nationwide competed in the finals. The team of Xu Xin, Liu Yinlin and Cui Yujie, undergraduates of Grade 2020 of the School of Business, won the national first prize.

The first prize winning team with the certificate

The Experimental Teaching Center issued the registration notice for the campus competition in early March 2022, and 64 teams of 192 students from more than 30 majors, including Information Management and Information System, Business Administration, and Law, registered for the competition. The Center organized a briefing session for the campus qualification trial on April 8 to give the participating students a more comprehensive understanding of the competition and to familiarize them with the competition rules and the operation of competition software. The Center organized two consecutive mock rounds starting from April 11 for the purpose of better applying theory to practice, so that the participating students can gain experience in practice and quickly enter the decision-making state. The campus competition officially started on April 25, and a total of 53 teams participated in the six-day business decision. At the end, the School selected four school-level grand prizes, eight first prizes, 12 second prizes and 16 third prizes.

Finally, a total of 10 teams from our University advanced to the regional competition. After competing in the regional competition, regional revival and national semi-finals, seven teams won the third prize, and one team advanced to the national finals and finally won the first prize. Also, five teams advanced to the Shanghai competition, winning one first prize and three second prizes in Shanghai.

The National Management Decision Simulation Competition combines theoretical teaching and practical application through the virtual simulation of management decision practice, which is a combination of education and recreation, and class and competition. It can not only cultivate the innovation and entrepreneurship and scientific management decision ability of the participating students, but also improve their comprehensive management skills and teamwork ability. With the ongoing competition and its expanding influence, an increasing number of students will benefit from it.
