Recently, the World Trade Organization (WTO) released World Trade Report 2020 - Government policies to promote innovation in the digital age. Associate Professor Peng Delei of the ECUST School of Business was invited to be the external expert for the report and participated in the preliminary external review work.

Currently, the world economy is undergoing a digital transformation. This year’s World Trade Report is divided into four parts, including Introduction, Defining innovation-oriented government policies and their evolution in the digital age, Innovation policy, trade and the digital challenge and International cooperation on innovation policies in the digital age. The report shows that the world economy is shifting to digitalization and informatization, which reflects the important role of digital technology in promoting economic growth.

The World Trade Report is the main WTO annual research publication on global trade policy, with special topics, analysis, and new developments.
