ECUST School of Business held an appointment ceremony on April 7, 2021, in which Dr. Anuruddha Rathninde, president of Aptiv Electrical Distribution Systems-Asia Pacific, was officially appointed as adjunct professor of the School. 

The attendees from ECUST School of Business include Dean MA Tieju, Vice Dean HOU Limin, and Associate Dean ZHAO Yan. The attending guests consist of Mr. YU Ning, Director of Product Engineering in China, and Ms. LIU Lan, Assistant President of the Asia Pacific Region. The ceremony was hosted by Vice Dean HOU.

Dean MA stated in his speech that the mission of the ECUST School of Business is “to bridge business with technology, and to nurture managerial talents with advanced knowledge and practical ability”; the School has established close industry-university-research collaboration relationships with many multinational companies and well-known domestic enterprises, provides decision-making consultation and solutions for government departments at all levels and many enterprises and institutions, and has also received great support from enterprises and society for the development of the School. Dean MA expressed his appreciation for Aptiv and Dr. Anuruddha Rathninde’s achievements in their fields. He expected that Aptiv and the School will work hand in hand in the integration of industry and education to help cultivate new business talents in the new era.

Dr. Anuruddha Rathninde shared his personal experience and his views of China.  Born in Sri Lanka, he then studied and lived in the United States, Singapore and other places. He believes that China is a powerful country, and its modesty will surely play an increasingly important role on the international stage.

Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to the School for trusting him and for giving him this opportunity to utilize his strengths and realize his dreams.

He said that he has always attached great importance to education, and also enjoyed the process of constantly learning new knowledge.

He hoped that with his years of international work experience and the educational background, he would help the School to cultivate more business elites.

Dean MA awarded the appointment letter to Dr. Rathninde, and expressed his hope that Dr.  Rathninde will share his latest experience of multinational companies and the concept of Mobility Services with the ECUST students.

After the ceremony, Assistant Dean ZHAO Yan and Mr. YU Ning gave introduction to the school and Aptiv respectively. They discussed and reached a common understanding on case development, “classroom in enterprises”, internship bases, talent recruitment, executive education, etc.
