
On November 19th, 2024, Associate Professor WANG Jiwei of Accounting (Practice), Program Director of Master of Professional Accounting (MPA), and Associate Professor WANG Rencheng of Accounting,Co-Director of Master of Science in Accounting (Data & Analytics), visited the School to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor PENG Zeyu, Director of the International Office, Associate Professor HUA Guiru, Director of the Department of Accounting, Ms. XU Tingting, Director of Teaching and Thesis Admin. Office, Professional Master Programs Center. Ms. PAN Xuejing, Deputy Director of the International Office, and Ms. ZHOU Xiaojia, Assistant Director, of Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) Program.
Associate Professor PENG Zeyu extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University and provided a detailed introduction to the strengths of the School in terms of educational characteristics and interdisciplinary studies. He actively proposed various possibilities for future cooperation, including student exchanges at different levels, faculty visits, and research collaborations.
On behalf of the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University, Associate Professor WANG Jiwei expressed gratitude for the warm reception and gave a detailed introduction to the school's history, current status, development direction, as well as program and course settings. He emphasized that as one of the six public universities established by the Singapore government, Singapore Management University's accounting discipline ranks among the top in Asia and globally. The university's central location provides students with superior learning and internship support, and students have broad employment prospects. He expressed his hope to establish a long-term and in-depth cooperative relationship with our college.
Associate Professor HUA Guiru introduced the faculty strength, enrollment situation, training characteristics, and future development direction of the School's accounting discipline and engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with the other party on the possibilities of cooperative education.
In the subsequent meeting, the attending members had an in-depth discussion on the cooperation opportunities and models between the two institutions, seeking mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation paths.
