
On September 20th, 2024, Associate Professor Koh Sze Kee, Dean of the Business, Communication & Design Cluster (Faculty) at Singapore Institute of Technology, Associate Professor Agnes Xue, Chair of Applied Research, Business, Communication and Design Cluster, Arthur Poh, Director of Global Experience/International Relations Division, and Shawn Wee, Senior Manager of Global Experience/International Relations Division, visited our School for exchange and discussion. Prof.FAN Tijun, Dean of the School of Business at East China University of Science and Technology, Associate Prof. PENG Zeyu, Director of the International Office, and Associate Prof. YE Sheng, Executive Director of International Exchange Programmes, participated in the meeting.
Dean FAN Tijun warmly welcomed the delegation from Singapore Institute of Technology and briefly introduced the School and the programs. He emphasized that the School has been committed to advancing internationalization and actively seeks to establish high-quality cooperative relationships with renowned institutions worldwide. He looked forward to in-depth cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as student exchange, faculty visits, joint degree programs, and scientific research cooperation.
Dean Koh Sze Kee expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by the School and shared the unique geographical advantages of Singapore Institute of Technology and its advanced concepts in talent cultivation. He specifically mentioned that the school focuses on cultivating students' practical skills and encourages students to participate in international exchanges and internships to broaden their international horizons. He expressed his expectation to carry out various exchange programs with ECUST School of Business, including summer study tours.
In the subsequent discussions, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on academic exchanges for faculty members, the construction of digital disciplines, and potential multi-level cooperation in the future, looking forward to opening a new chapter in their cooperation.
After the meeting, the delegation from Singapore Institute of Technology visited the versatile teaching and research facilities of the School accompanied by our side.
This meeting not only enhanced mutual understanding between the two sides but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperative relationships.
