In the context of today's era of globalization and digitalization, higher education is facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities. To better adapt to social needs and cultivate compound talents with innovative spirit and practical ability, the School held the "Industry-Education Integration Base Signing Ceremony" on July 6th, 2024. A total of 61 cooperative enterprises participated in this event, which also received strong support from Jiangsu Bank Shanghai Branch.

The event was presided over by Prof. ZHENG Qinghuan, Vice Chair of the School Council and Discipline Inspection Secretary of the School, and Prof. HOU Limin, Chair of the School Council, delivered a speech on the theme of "Open Integration, Collaborative Coexistence, Value Co-creation". She said that under the combined influence of many macro environmental factors such as technology, economy, policy, and society, business education is facing unprecedented challenges. The School has built a professional knowledge exchange platform, management experience exchange platform, and social network construction platform. It promotes students' value shaping, ability cultivation, and knowledge acquisition to adapt to the needs of talent training in the era development and build industry-education integration bases with leading enterprises. This will help to build a high-quality education system for business education, effectively link the industry chain, innovation chain, education chain, and talent chain, and cultivate talents to serve national and local development.

In the subsequent sub-forum exchanges, Prof. WANG Donghua, Director of the Finance Department, Prof. WU Yifan, Director of the Department of Management Science and Engineering, and Prof. DU Weiyu, Director of the Industry-Education Integration Center, jointly presided over the event and conducted in-depth discussions on the theme of "Discussing the University Talent Cultivation Goals Based on Social Development Needs."
Participants first conducted in-depth exchanges on the future changes in industry development and the new requirements for enterprise talent abilities and literacy brought about by these changes. They believed that the industry is undergoing digital transformation, which makes enterprises pay more attention to the adaptability and innovation ability of talents, especially in data analysis, cross-cultural communication, and team collaboration abilities. Enterprise representatives emphasized that future talents should have the ability to learn quickly, adapt flexibly, and solve complex problems.

Enterprise representatives also shared their successful practical experience, such as implementing customized training projects, implementing cross-departmental rotation mechanisms, and strengthening the cultivation of international vision. These measures have not only improved the professional skills of employees but also enhanced the innovation ability and market competitiveness of enterprises.
This sub-forum not only deepened the understanding of university talent cultivation goals based on enterprise needs but also pointed out the direction for the course setting, teaching mode adjustment, and teacher allocation of the Business School. Looking forward to the future, the school will join hands with more outstanding enterprises to continue to cultivate outstanding talents with a global perspective, innovative thinking, and practical experience, and jointly promote economic prosperity and social progress.
